Babatunde Agunloye
With a Bachelor of Political Science degree obtained and over 12 years of customer service experience gained, Babatunde made a huge career leap by pursuing a diploma in film production at the Toronto Film School.
Babatunde has built creative capacity as a script writer, producer, director and editor. His love for storytelling had led him to write, produce, direct as well as edit Seven short films, a documentary, a PSA as well as a commercial.
His desire to improve himself moved him to take up roles in background acting on some high budget production sets like ‘Madam CJ Walker’, ‘Titans’ and ‘Frankie Drakes series’ where he observed in proximity, how production keys navigate set demands and achieve daily goals. With the Madam CJ Walker production, which has premiered on NETFLIX as ‘Self-made: Inspired by the life of Madam CJ Walker’, Babatunde moved on to work as part of the crew member. He also had his debut in the Nollywood movie industry on the set of ‘When love hurts’ where he worked as the director of photography. He worked in a key role in the audio team of crew that made ‘SLASHER’ (available to watch on NETFLIX).
Babatunde is highly sought after by filmmakers during development stage of their projects. This is for his knowledge in content creation as well as pre-production problem-solving skills. He is currently working as the creative director at Great and Mighty Things Inc.
Babatunde among other projects, directed an interview documentary – ‘Heroes series project’. His short film(s) ‘Third Scar’, ‘The Hallway’, ‘PSALM 23’ written, co-produced and directed by him, has won multiple awards from different organizations.
Another short film – ‘Aajule Keji Realm 2’, written and directed by Babatunde was green lit by Bell Fibe TV1 in Canada; and is now in its post-production. Babatunde currently has two feature film screenplays completed and a third almost ready.
