Khulekani Mayisa is a director and producer, having earned her BA degree in Film & Television Studies from The University of Johannesburg. Following her graduation in 2018, she ventured into experimental filmmaking, which saw the success of her first film, “Scribbled in Red”. It was selected to screen at the Gauteng Film Commission Online Women Film Festival (2020); as well as being shortlisted for the Girls Impact The World Film Festival (2020). Her most recent film, “Okumhlophe” (2021) received an award for Best Short Film at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image in Frankfurt, Germany.
